Trust building trust
Sindus Andritz specializes in continuous production manufacturing maintenance and participates strongly in the pulp and paper industry. Our company has full-time management, planning, execution and maintenance engineering teams that work onsite at these mills in the Conventional and Analytic Instrumentation, Automation, Metrology, Electrical and Mechanical departments. We currently employ more than 700 professionals at 18 units all over Brazil.
We have also been designing, manufacturing, installing and performing maintenance on Gas Analysis Systems for continuous process factories in Brazil and abroad since our foundation in 1987.
In each one of these businesses, characteristics like technical competence, flexibility and dedication have always been part of our company's history. This is what makes it possible for us to offer custom solutions to each client, in a relationship where trust is fundamental. And trust builds yet more trust.
As a result of its constant participation in the industry, Sindus has become a point of reference in electrical, instrumentation and automation equipment maintenance for pulp and paper mills. In 2007, it signed an equal participation joint venture with Andritz, a globally active Austrian company and one of the leaders in complete supply for pulp mills.
Thanks to Andritz' broad experience in the industry, with the joint venture Sindus has brought even more process know-how to their work, adding to their mechanical maintenance field knowledge. In this way, the association has brought the corporation technological reinforcements and access to new markets, including international ones, besides providing greater investment capacity.
The Andritz group was founded in 1852 and has always been focused on developing and producing capital goods and complete industrial mills. Since 1990, it has been expanding its realm of activities through acquisitions and associations with other companies, aiming to complement its other realms of activity.
Andritz headquarters are in Graz, Austria and it currently employs more than 11,000 people, with 120 branch offices on five continents. Its annual reported earnings are 2.4 billion Euros, with 100 million of these coming from the service division.
The Andritz Group acts in five broad areas, providing equipment and technology for pulp and paper mills, steel mills, hydroelectric power plants, animal feed factories, and facilities for wood processing and separating solid from liquid waste, as much for treating garbage in cities as for the Mining industry. In the Pulp and Paper industry, responsible for approximately 60% of Andritz's total earnings, the company is capable of supplying the entire mill, from planning to installation. It has been an important player in the most recently built pulp mills in South America.
